Path of Exile 2 News
I spent too much time on Reddit. I used to read the top 100 posts in /all every day, until it became too much about US politics. I read the top posts in a handful of subreddits too. But you can spend forever reading without actually learning much that's useful.
For this project, I used an LLM to read the top 25 posts each day in the Path of Exile 2 subreddit, then summarised what I considered to be relevant to me.
First, we used the Reddit API to pull those posts and comments. If there are too many, we exclude those below a karma threshold. Claude Haiku reads them, discards the ones that don't meet my prompting criteria (e.g. I don't care about memes, item brags, community drama), then summarises what remains.
Once this basic process works, I set it to run every day at 6am, then email me the results. I pay about 8c (cents, not chaos orbs) per day in token fees.
